Amanda is a Dickson County Native, and lives on her family farm with her husband and two kids. She enjoys family, being active outside, traveling, and reading. She is a 2005 Graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and has worked in primary care since that time. She became interested in using nutrition as medicine through her own weight and health journey. In 2018 she began to focus her practice on medical weight management. Her passion is helping others prevent, improve, or reverse chronic health conditions through nutritional and lifestyle approaches.
Amanda has multiple advanced certifications:
- Certificate of advanced education through the obesity medicine society
- SCOPE certified through the world obesity federation
- Certified Metabolic Health Practitioner through the Society of Metabolic Health Practitioners
- Certified Ketogenic Nutrition Certification through the American Nutrition Association
In July of 2021 she opened DMA Weight and Wellness. This facility gives us the space to continue to see patients and expand our weight loss services.
To help individuals in Dickson County and Surrounding areas lose weight and achieve a new level of health.
Lori Hardin was born and raised in Dickson County, graduating from Dickson County High School in 1988. After graduating from MTSU in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, she went to work at a local manufacturing company doing payroll and then Human Resources. In 2003, she decided to change careers and went to Tennessee Technology Center in Dickson, graduating as an LPN. She worked at Horizon Medical Center for about 1 ½ years, then went to work for DMA in 2005 and has been a nurse here ever since. Lori has been married to her husband Ricky for almost 22 years and she has 3 grown children, 4 grandchildren and another on the way. She loves her patients and enjoys getting to know them and loves playing a part in their health journey.
Amber Grubb is a Certified Medical Assistant and Certified Health Coach, and has been a part of Amanda’s Team since January 2017. She plays a dual role in our clinic: Triage Nurse and Health Coach. Amber has a passion for helping others accomplish their goals and better their wellbeing by engaging in health and behavior change.
She is originally from Wisconsin but has resided in Dickson for the last several years. She is happily married with three children, two boys and a girl. She enjoys spending time with her family but also enjoys working and helping her patients.
Marlee has been with Amanda since November of 2015 and is our office orchestrator extortioner. She is a native of the Dickson area, and resides here with her partner Ricky, and three children. Marlee works hard to accommodate our patient and their needs. She will always go the extra step to help you.
While her biggest passion in life is and always will be her family, she thoroughly enjoys being here for our patients. You can count on her.
My name is Lisa Simmons. I have been in healthcare for over 25 years. I was drawn to healthcare because I wanted to help people. I graduated as a nurse practitioner in 2012 from University of Alabama in Huntsville. I have made it my mission to educate people on how they can best be proactive in their own health with lifestyle changes and diet.
Lisa will start seeing patients on Tuesday’s starting August 2nd for weight management. Lisa also has special interest in bio identical hormone replacement. We are excited to start offering consults specifically for bio identical hormone replacement
